A new line of compact base-mounted spring-powered reels from Stock Drive Products are designed for counterbalancing, retrieving, retracting and product security applications such as door closers, cable retractors, hose retrievers, tool head returns, plus cabinet and furniture components. The reel consists of a tough, durable Celcon base and drum, a type 301 Stainless Steel Spir'ator® prestressed spiral spring, plus a .025" diameter Stainless Steel Nylon coated cable.

Identified as the A 3Z53-ML45 series, they are stocked in 4 cable lengths ranging between 42" and 84". Cable extension/retraction force for the largest unit ranges from 2.6 lb extending to 1.3 lb retracting at a length of 35". The housing height of the 4 units in the series is 11/16" with an overall base dimensions of 2" x 2-3/8".
